Andersons Boat Transport has been operating for over 25 years from Cornwall. Lindsey Anderson the owner/driver began driving with general haulage in 1981, gaining valuable experience before specialising in boat transport. Having established a successful customer base we now have 2 articulated trucks working full time and we have a reliable, conscientious driver with over 25 years experience. All of our customers comment on his care of their boat, his friendly, professional and helpful manner.
Our specialised boat trailers allow flexibility for 2 smaller sized boats to be transported together. We also try to arrange boat movements where we are getting loads in both directions making it cost effective, efficient and competitive for our customers.
Our base in Cornwall is ideally situated for all South West marinas and boatyards and for loading and delivery to all UK and European destinations and ferry ports.
We drive regular European routes to France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Norway, Sweden. Our regular UK and Ireland routes are Falmouth, Plymouth, Dartmouth, Totnes, Poole, Southampton, Essex, Wales,Scotland, Dublin, Cork.
We use professional logistic agents to arrange ferry routes, permits and escorts for abnormal load escorting. We have up to date permits for regular routes across Europe so when a boat movement is requested we can move as soon as our customer’s boat is ready for transportation.
Andersons Boat Transport takes the stress out of our customers boat transport, understanding that it can be an emotional time because of the attachment the customer holds for their boat. We give reassurance by keeping in constant touch with our customers from the initial enquiry to the final delivery. If required we can liaise direct with the chosen marina or boatyard and we make regular phone calls and emails to keep our customers fully informed and updated about loading and unloading times. Advice and arrangement of lifting facilities and crane companies is available. Advice on marinas and boatyards that are best suited to where the boat can be transported from and to. When the boat is in transit our drivers will keep our customer updated as to his progress with the delivery schedule.

Andersons Boat Transport have many private individual customers who require one boat transportation, but consistently over the years they have become repeat customers. We also transport to major UK and European boat shows for boat building companies, and we have a large customer base from UK and European marinas, brokers and boatyards due to the satisfaction and recommendations we have received.
Andersons Boat Transport has expertise in providing abnormal load escorts, European road permits and route planning which are all required for transport movements. Loads that exceed 3mts wide being transported in Europe will also require an escort vehicle. Transport movements within the UK exceeding 2.5 mtrs wide will require police authority notification and the use of an escort vehicle when specified.
Preparation of the boat is required prior to transport. All boat movements are different and we will give you all the information that is required to get the boat ready to be transported, loaded and unloaded safely and securely. Paperwork and boat keys will also be required before transportation. We will inform the customer of what paperwork we need to carry with us and the boat keys before transport. We have Goods in Transit and CMR European insurance. Sum insured and Terms & Conditions will be provided with quotations. Customers are advised to have transportation included on their marine insurance policy.
